Housing Element Update

The Housing Element is part of the City’s General Plan. It serves as the City’s principal guide for housing programs and strategies to address housing needs. State law (Government Code Sections 65580-65589.8) requires that every City and County in California adopt a Housing Element as a part of its General Plan. The Housing Element must be updated every eight years and is subject to detailed statutory requirements and mandatory review by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Clovis is updating its 6^th cycle Housing Element for the years 2023-2031. You are invited to take part in outreach meetings, providing your input, and staying up to date on the progress.
