Central Clovis, specific plan, old town Clovis
The City is currently embarking on an update to its 1983 Central Clovis Specific Plan. Through its General Plan update, the City identified its 1983 Central Clovis Specific Plan as a focus area for more detailed study and analysis. The Specific Plan holds in its center the City’s Old Town, the community’s primary social and cultural heart, and older, economically disadvantaged neighborhoods within the project area. This important program seeks to build upon our existing Central Clovis Specific Plan and to refine and update the community vision to guide the future growth and development of Old Town for the next 20 years.
The City Council has appointed a broad based and well represented advisory committee based on their connections to the community. These connections include involvement in community groups, ownership in property in key geographic areas and business affiliations. The purpose of the advisory committee is to advise, make suggestions, recommendations, and actively participate in the process as the updated Central Clovis Specific Plan is assembled over the next 14 months.
