The City of Clovis issues traffic advisories for the safety and convenience of the commuting public. Please check this page frequently for updated conditions. As always, when roadways are under construction or restrictions, drivers are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly, give themselves enough time to traverse the area safely and comfortably, or to avoid the area, if possible.
STATE ROUTE 168
THURSDAY IN CLOVIS
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces a ramp closure on State Route 168 at Temperance Avenue in the City of Clovis for landscaping operations.
The following off-ramp closure will be in effect, weather permitting:
· The Eastbound State Route 168 on-ramp from Temperance Avenue will be closed Thursday, August 31, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during maintenance.
Caltrans Maintenance workers remind you to drive with extra care and allow additional travel time while travelling in the maintenance area. Please be alert for Road Maintenance Personnel and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
Starting Wednesday, 8/10/2017, at 9am and going on through Thursday, 11/2/2017, Leonard Avenue between Shaw Avenue and Barstow Ave will be subject to a road closure to through traffic. Tri County will be on site performing street improvement work and Browning Contractors will be on site performing utility work in this area for TM 6144(Wilson). During this time, drivers are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly, give themselves enough time to traverse the area safely and comfortably, or to avoid the area altogether if possible.
Beginning Monday 7-31-2017 and continuing until 9-8-2017 the traffic signal at the intersection of Ashlan and DeWolf will be inoperable and 4 way stop signs will be in place. Browning Contractors will be performing upgrades to the traffic signals at this location. This work is in conjunction with the widening of DeWolf Ave and TM 5781. During this time, drivers are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly, give themselves enough time to traverse the area safely and comfortably, or to avoid the area altogether if possible.
