5 Arrested After Clovis Police SWAT Team Serve 2 Warrants and Recover Weapons and Property

On Monday, August 1, the Clovis Police Department’s SWAT team served two search warrants in Clovis. The warrants stemmed from a residential burglary investigation where several guns, weapons, and other property were stolen. The Department utilized the SWAT team because of the officer safety concern regarding the weapons.

Five guns, various weapons including a crossbow, and other stolen property were recovered. The detectives are currently working with the victim to identify and return the property. The warrants were served within a ¼ mile of each other, in the 200 block of Fairmont Ave., and the 2500 block of Harvard Ave, and all subjects were taken into custody without incident.

Five subjects were arrested in relation to this investigation. Three of the five subjects were arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail. Those three subjects were 27 year-old Nolan Hite who was arrested for carrying a stolen loaded firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, carrying a switchblade knife and possession of illegal fireworks. 22 year-old Sean Kitchener was arrested for burglary, and possession of stolen property. 22 year-old Ryan Kitchener was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property. The other two subjects were arrested and cited from the Clovis Police Department. They were 34 year-old Joshua Piceno who was arrested for carrying a switchblade knife, and 34 year-old Russell Gieber arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
