The City of Clovis has commissioned a Needs Assessment as part of an effort to develop a Parks Master Plan. Community input is an important part of this process and helps the City to best tailor the plan to reflect the community’s desires and needs.
On Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m., the Central Valley Fireworks Task Force will demonstrate in a live fire scenario, the potential destruction if Safe and Sane fireworks are used incorrectly near dry vegetation. The demonstration will take place at the Clovis Fire Department Training Center (3455 Lind Avenue).
Last evening, the Clovis City Council appointed Luke Serpa as the City Manager to become effective on July 1, 2017. Serpa served as the Interim City Manager since December 31, 2016, following the retirement of City Manager Rob Woolley.
Clovis City Manager Rob Woolley has announced the appointments of Jay Schengel as the new Finance Director and Shonna Halterman as the new General Services Director to become effective January 1, 2017. The new Directors are filling vacancies left by the retirements of the former Directors Jamie Hughson and Robert Ford in December 2016.
In October, the Clovis City Council called the city’s general municipal election to be held on March 7, 2017, to fill two (2) council seats for a full term of four (4) years. Additionally, Council called a Special Election that will be held in the City of Clovis on March 7, 2017 to fill one (1) Council Member seat for a short term of two (2) years to fill the vacancy created by Council Member Armstrong’s retirement on October 17, 2016.
Effective November 1, 2016, the outdoor watering schedule for the City of Clovis will change.
Clovis Finance Director Jamie Hughson and General Services Director Robert Ford are announcing their plans to retire effective December 31, 2016.
Last evening, the Clovis City Council appointed Luke Serpa as the Interim City Manager to become effective on December 31, 2016, following the retirement of the current City Manager Rob Woolley. Serpa’s appointment as Interim City Manager was a unanimous vote by all five Council Members.
