Clovis Police Arrest 5 Related to an Ongoing Forgery Investigation

Clovis Police served a search warrant in the 3700 Block of North Blackstone, in the City of Fresno, related to an ongoing forgery and identity theft investigation. This investigation has been ongoing for several months and was initiated in the City of Clovis. Clovis Investigators were assisted by Investigators from the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office and Investigators from the Department of Health Care Services. This investigation was for multiple forgery cases related to forged prescriptions, stolen and forged credit cards, stolen and forged ID and Driver’s Licenses and making counterfeit money. During the service of the search warrant 5 people were arrested for multiple violations. 42 year old Thomas Hayslett of Fresno was arrested for multiple counts of forgery and ID theft with priors, 51 year old Cheryl Estes of Fresno was arrested for making or passing counterfeit money, 32 year old Ashley Farmer of Clovis was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance for sale, 27 year old Floyd Gardner of Fresno was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant out of Arizona and 38 year old Jeremy Hanson of Fresno was arrested for a drug warrant.

Clovis Police would like to remind residents to protect their personal information and account information by shredding documents and monitoring their account activity.
