Clovis Police Respond to Call of “Shot Fired” on Indianapolis Ave

About 1:45 this afternoon, Clovis Police received a call to check the welfare of a person recently released from the hospital. When officers arrived on scene, a bottle was thrown from within the residence breaking out a front window of the residence. Responding officers heard and saw the window being broken out and, concerned that it may have been gunfire, established a secure scene and they secured the houses in the 2800 block of Indianapolis near Temperance.

The call originally came in as a medical issue. EMS was also on scene.

As it turned out, someone inside the house broke a dual pane window in the front of the residence. It made a sound like a gunshot. Officers checked the welfare of those inside, and they turned out to be okay.

We thank the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office for its help with Eagle One overhead. Fortunately no one was hurt.
