Clovis Firefighters
Much has changed from those early days, when volunteers dropped what they were doing to respond to neighbors in need. Racing into town from well-tended farms or exiting their shops and stores, volunteers grabbed from their supply of equipment – four dozen buckets, two axes and 200 feet of half-inch rope – to answer the call for help. Now, more than 60 employees strong – trained in fire science, life safety, and a range of complex rescue techniques – Clovis Fire Department personnel operate out of five fire stations and a headquarters facility.
Remaining constant is their commitment to provide the best in service to the people of Clovis.
