Many of the buildings within the Parking and Business Improvement Area (PBIA) are wood frame, are of an old construction type, and have had many renovations over the years. These factors make fighting a structure fire very difficult which can escalate damage in case of a fire.
The Fire Supression Sprinkler Loan Program is designed to assist businesses in the PBIA with costs associated with installation of a fire suppression sprinkler system.
Through a special loan program, the Clovis Community Development Agency can provide up to 50% of the cost for a business to install fire suppression sprinklers.
This loan is payable over 10 years with a standard interest of 5%.
