Information on Meth Dealing Leads Officers to Suspect Overnight
Clovis Police tried to pull over a suspected drug dealer about midnight when he evaded officers and jumped into another car with some friends. Police then pulled over the second car for a traffic violation, and detained 38-year-old David Richmond of Clovis. He was carrying about a gram of methamphetamine and $7000.00 in cash. Officers had information that Richmond was living and dealing methamphetamine in Clovis.
A search of his car, the one he used to evade officers, turned up more than one ounce of methamphetamine packaged for sale. The owner of the home where Richmond lived in the 700 block of Cherry Lane allowed officers to search the house. They confiscated scales and drug packaging material in the garage, where Richmond lived. They also arrested two other men, one on a drug warrant and the second on at traffic warrant.
Richmond was booked into the Fresno County Jail for possession of methamphetamine for sale, for being a felon in possession of a taser and a drug addict in possession of a taser.
