The Information Technology Division keeps open the lines of communications. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, the Information Technology department keeps employees, the public and other government agencies connected. From providing network connectivity to computer technology to telephone and other valuable services, IT helps Clovis staff conduct important city business.
In the fast-paced, urgent operations of the police and fire departments, Clovis Information Technology Division assists with maintaining the Fresno Countywide 9-1-1 system, enabling public safety officers to perform their jobs with precision and accuracy. The 70,000-square-foot Public Safety facility, featuring the latest in technology including a fiber optics system, means speedier, more efficient transmission of all communications.
Residents, visitors and business operators easily are able to access frequently requested government information and city resources via the Internet and the city’s website, which the Information Technology division manages. Information Technology also helps keep city employees on top of their jobs by making certain core equipment operates properly and providing tech support, training and education.
