On February 27, 2018, Clovis Police received a call from Clovis East High School regarding allegations of sexual misconduct on the behalf of one of their teachers. A police report was taken, and the case was forwarded to the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office. Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for 48 year-old Damon Eric Wright for one count of annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18, California penal code 647.6(a)(1). Wright turned himself into Fresno County Jail for that warrant on April 13, 2018, and bonded out the same day. Throughout the investigation, the Clovis Unified School District was very cooperative.
